Southcoast Health announced today that Dr. Dani Hackner has joined Southcoast Health as Physician-in-Chief for Medicine.

Dr. Hackner is an intensivist and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine. In addition, he has significant experience as a senior physician leader. Most recently, Dr. Hackner served as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Care Management at Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston. Prior to his work at Memorial Hermann, he was Medical Director for Case Management at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

In this role, he will collaborate with health system leadership to lead Southcoast’s hospital based clinical programs and specialty services within its Medicine Care Center. He will also devote a percentage of his time to active clinical practice.
