New Trauma Clinic at St. Luke’s Hospital
St. Luke's Hospital, New Bedford, MA
This month, Southcoast Health cut the ribbon on a new Trauma Center Clinic at St. Luke’s Hospital, marking the latest advancement at the first and only Level II Trauma Center in the Massachusetts EMS Region 5 serving southeastern Massachusetts.
The new clinic helps our patients and their loved ones by centralizing their treatment and experience at St. Luke’s, rather than requiring travel around the area for visits after surgery.
It helps our providers, nurses, and staff by keeping them on site, as well. Southcoast Trauma surgeons and team members are at the top of their field, and they deserve a facility that is state of the art. That’s what we’re striving for with every investment we make.
These talented surgeons save lives in the operating room, and they and their teams do so much More in the weeks and months following surgery. Follow-ups, consults, and other services are crucial to a patient’s recovery, and this new clinic will ensure they have convenient access to that care.
“This is another great day for Southcoast Health and the community we serve,” said Dr. Dennis LaRock, Physician in Chief of Surgical Services. “I want to thank President & CEO Dr. Ray Kruger, Chief of Trauma Surgery Dr. Michael Grossman, Trauma Program Manager Jacquelyn Miller, our EMS partners across the region, and the entire Trauma Center team.”
