Her father, who is now retired, worked as a primary care provider and Sharon first began her career in medicine working alongside him at his practice.

“I always knew that I wanted to work with people, but clinical care was not my calling,” she says. “By looking for other ways to stay involved in patient care, I found that I could fulfill my goal of helping others in operational and leadership positions across the healthcare industry.”

Today at Southcoast Health, Sharon oversees the operations of many surgical care areas and understands the power of strong collaboration on a care team by working closely with those in clinical roles and behind the scenes.

Working in this multidisciplinary role, Sharon collaborates with team members across the entire Southcoast Health System all the way from Providence, Rhode Island to Cape Cod.

“In every aspect of patient care, I am so proud of how we all come together to plan and ensure our patients receive the surgical care they need in the best possible way. It’s that commitment that continues to inspire me every day,” she says. “I am also fortunate to work with an amazing team of managers, who have all worked in frontline positions here at Southcoast before becoming leaders. Together we ensure the staff in the practices are empowered and supported to provide great care to our patients.”

Still a resident on Cape Cod, Sharon is happy to have the opportunity to continue growing in her career while raising her family in the community where she was raised.

“I have been at Southcoast Health for 8 years now and in the last several years my family started receiving their healthcare here. I love my job and cannot imagine being anywhere else.”
