Elevating the Patient Experience at Southcoast Health
At Southcoast Health, our top priority is to deliver exceptional, accessible and convenient care and service. Feedback from our patients is an essential component to achieving this mission. We value and welcome feedback from the patients and families we have the honor of serving to help us improve quality of care, patient safety, and overall service and experience.
This year, we are delighted to report that our service initiatives and the progress we have made enhancing the patient experience across our facilities have resulted in our earning a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 81.2 for the last fiscal year, and a year-to-date average of 83.3 for the first half of this year.

It is the combined efforts of the entire system – nurses and physicians, support staff, allied health professionals, technical specialists, leaders, and many others – that make Southcoast Health the premier health system in this region.
The Net Promoter Score (NPS) is calculated based on feedback from patients who received care within our system. This score helps Southcoast Health measure patient satisfaction along with their likelihood to recommend Southcoast Health and identify areas for improvement. It is measured on a scale of -100 to 100 to account for both positive and negative feedback.
