About Vladimir Yufit

Dr. Yufit has been practicing primary care medicine at Southcoast since 1998. A specialist in internal medicine, he is in practice at Hanover Internal Medicine in Fall River. Previously, he was with New Bedford Medical Associates and served as a hospitalist physician at Tobey Hospital.

Dr. Yufit received his medical degree from the Grodno State Medical Institute in the Republic of Belarus. He completed a residency in anesthesiology and critical care medicine at Grodno District Hospital, as well as a residency in internal medicine at the Helene Fuld Medical Center in Trenton, N.J.

In addition to being board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Yufit received Russian board certification in anesthesiology and critical care medicine and intensive care neonatology.

He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Massachusetts Medical Society.

I don't think you could have improved anything the way I was treated. I was treated very well, particularly by Dr. Yufit. He answered my question about what I went for and explained what I should do to get better. I've been following his recommendations and it seems like I'm getting better already. So I received some good treatment with him and with all of the staff. They were very polite to me. Well, that's about it. I would recommend this place to my family and friends.

My appointment took a little longer than expected. And I do have an electric car. So it would have been nice to have that capability to charge my car while I waited for the appointment. And while I was seeing the doctor, other than that everything was perfect. The office everybody was so polite so friendly. Everybody wishing me a happy holidays. The doctor was great. Just for convenience purposes. I think that would be a plus.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
