    I have been a patient of Dr. Carty's for like 20 years. She is the best doctor anybody could ever hope to have. She's very thorough, her staff is very professional. I love her to death. You could never get a better doctor. Okay, my last appointment, I went to my lab work. I tried to get all my labs and all my appointments done so that she has all the answers, I mean she has all the results and goes over everything. Never met a better doctor in my entire life. I love her to death. Great, great person. Great doctor.

    Dr. Carty is one of the best doctors at Southcoast health. She is empathic, compassionate, and dedicated to her field. She takes the time to be with every patient, to explain things in simple terms, and she demonstrates patience, understanding and respect to everyone that she treats. She is a highly educated and knowledgable doctor with years of experience that help her to make thorough decisions for the best interest of the patient. She is honest, kind, approachable, and has one of the best bedside manners a doctor could have. I have been seeing Dr. Carty for years, have struggled with both physical sickness and mental health sickness, but she has never been judgmental, critical, or dismissive to my needs and my concerns. I feel comfortable speaking with her about my daily obstacles, as well as the challenges I continue to make. Regardless of the condition I am in when I enter her office, I am always feeling better when I exit. I am grateful for her time, her review of my medical history, her explanation of lab work and/or other diagnostic tests, her comforting nature, and her genuine authenticity as a human being. I can't see myself going to any other provider for my general well being and health. By far the BEST PCP I have had and I hope she continues at Southcoast until she is no longer capable of working. Thank you Dr. Carty.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
