Dr. Subtain Zia earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Connecticut and fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Massachusetts.
His interests include tick borne illnesses, HIV, sexually transmitted infections, bacterial and viral infections among other topics in Infectious Diseases.
The ability to help others while having a meaningful career was what inspired Subtain to become a physician. He decided to focus on Infectious Diseases because of its complexity, critical thinking, continuous learning, and patient advocacy.
