Dr. Schwartz specializes in internal medicine with a focus on geriatric medicine and is on the medical staff at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
He received his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at the U.S. Naval Hospital in St. Albans, N.Y., where he was chief resident.
For more than 25 years, Dr. Schwartz served as a clinical instructor and assistant professor at Alpert Medical School at Brown University in Providence, R.I., and served as preceptor for third- and fourth-year medical students in community health. He received the Distinguished Teacher Award at the university.
Dr. Schwartz is board certified in internal medicine with added qualifications in geriatric medicine.
He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
