About Ny Tran

Ny Tran earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Rhode Island College in Providence, RI. She went on to further her medical expertise by earning her Master of Science in Nursing – Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Rhode Island College. Ny is board certified in Adult Gerontology and Acute Care. Her clinical interests include critical care, adult health, hematology, oncology, palliative care, and hospice.

Ny’s personal philosophy of care is established by providing competent, empathetic, and compassionate care that is individualized to each patient. She belongs to a number of professional societies including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Oncology Nursing Society. She has received the Daisy Award and Unsung Hero: Field of Nursing for exemplary nursing care.

Ny enjoys traveling, hiking, and experiencing authentic cultural cuisines. In addition, she is fluent in Vietnamese.

    The provider Ny was pleasant, professional, and very knowledgeable with providing me information concerning my medications and treatment regime.I am grateful for my nurse [Name] who was able to insert my IV on the first attempt, and she kept me updated on all procedures today. She was attentive to my personal care by giving me a warm blanket, that kept me warm and decreased my stress.The lab technician did an excellent job while drawing blood today. She is pleasant, courteous, and kind, which improves the experience during the oncology visit. I am grateful to be alive and experiencing an improved quality of life after almost 6 years ago,getting diagnosed with breast cancer with bone Mets. Southcoast oncology and[Name]. [Name] worked miracles, and have given me extra time, to spend loving my family and friends.

    Np. NY Tran was excellent, caring, informative, treated my husband as part of care. I switched from steward to south coast and tufts! Best medical decision I ever made, my oncology nurse, [Name] [Name] has been a huge help to me when I've been scared, and less than present with the start of this journey. She's put up with a lot. Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
