About Michael Iadevaia

Michael Iadevaia, MD earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Summa Cum Laude from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He then furthered his medical expertise, earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. In addition, Dr. Iadevaia is a certified through the American Board of Family Medicine. His clinical interests include family medicine, primary care, working with the pediatric population, and working with the trans and LGBTQ+ community.

Dr. Iadevaia’s personal philosophy of care is rooted in building trust and communication with his patients. He believes it is important to intervene early in life and help establish a healthy lifestyle to set his patients up for success in their healthcare as they age. As a primary care physician, the prevention of disease is the ultimate goal as it allows his patients to live without worry for their health.

When not at work, Dr. Iadevaia enjoys working in his yard, watching Boston sports, and playing fantasy football.

2 years ago Dr. Iadevaia listened to my issues. He saw I was overweight and had high blood pressure and no matter what I tried I could t seem to loose weight. He was able to get me into South Coast's Weight Management program which has gotten me to loose over 100lbs without surgery. The weight loss has changed my life, no more sleep apnea/snoring, knee pain, blood pressure meds and I now have tons of energy. Also I just feel great now and this has also boosted my confidence. His listening and caring has changed my life for the better and seeing my results my wife also was able to get into the SC Weight Management program where she was able to loose 120 lbs and get off insulin as a type 2 diabetic. Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
