Michael Gerlach attended Seton Hall University where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master of Science in Physician Assistant. He then furthered his medical expertise, earning his Doctor of Medical Science at Shenandoah University. Currently, Michael works for Southcoast Urology where he serves as the APP Coordinator. Michael also serves on the Board of Governors for Southcoast.
His personal philosophy of care is that he treats his patients like they are people, and not just a number. Michael was inspired to become a Physician Assistant because of his interest in helping others and the ability to improve peoples’ lives. Michael has been a board-certified Physician Assistant since 2014.
Outside of work, Michael is an Adjunct Professor at Bryant University, Clinical Adjunct Faculty for Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and a Visiting Clinical Instructor for Regis College. He also intermittently helps to instruct Bryant University and Johnston and Whales University Physician Assistant students.
Michael currently resides in Rhode Island and in his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and cooking.
