About Maryanne Noris

Dr. Noris is a cardiologist who has practiced at Charlton Memorial Hospital for more than 15 years.

A graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine, she completed a residency in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia and a fellowship in cardiology at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa.

Before joining Southcoast, Dr. Noris was a cardiologist at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, R.I., where she served as director of the Echocardiography Lab.

She has a special interest in heart disease in women.

Dr. Noris is board certified in cardiology.

I go early so I do not have to wait for my appointment. I was there early and had to wait almost 15 minutes to be taken by the nurse. After I get in the room, all went fantastic. That is my only complaint on this visit. Everything else was absolutely perfect. The nurse took my EKG in the fastest time possible, plus she removed the electrodes and I did not know she did that. I was pleasantly surprised...!!!

Woman who took BP and weight didn't introduce herself with a name. I asked about moving the head pillow on the table when she was taking my EKG because of my arthritis. She said it didn't move, but it easily slid down. I know her name but maybe she had an off day. Since I was VERY anxious a little warmth from her would've helped. The MD I would rate amongst the kindest most compassionate and knowledgeable I have ever seen. It was really a relief to talk to her and she was truly interested in me. I couldn't recommend or rate her any higher. She is a blessing to your organization and I think her type of care is rare and to be prized.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
