About Lori Georgeson

Dr. Lori Georgeson earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatric Internship and Residency at Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA and earned a Master’s in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health.

Dr. Georgeson has a passion for working with children and families to ensure the best possible outcome for each patient. Her philosophy is to always take a holistic approach to care, considering not just the physical health of a child, but also their emotional, social, and developmental well-being. She believes it is worth taking the time to listen to the concerns of both the child and their family, and to work with them to create a customized treatment plan that addresses all aspects of the child’s health. She enjoys every age and stage of pediatric medicine, but has a special interest in caring for children with long term medical needs such as asthma, and children who present with developmental challenges, such as autism.

When not at work, Dr. Georgeson likes to spend time with her husband and two daughters. Most of her favorite activities involve being outside, including hiking, gardening, and spending time at the beach.

  • This was my first time bringing my child to her new pediatrician. She was caring, attentive, and supportive. Very happy with my child's new provider

  • Dr Georgeson is so nice we love seeing her

  • Great experience! We went to discuss weight loss options for my son who has just turned 18. We were apprehensive about going due to my son being embarrassed and ashamed at the nature of the issue. Dr. Georgeson was very understanding and empathetic. She gave him the facts without judgement and didn't make him feel that being overweight is his fault. She referred us to a specialist. The woman we first saw, [Name] was wonderful as well. She came in to take vitals and get stats. She was super friendly, upbeat and made us feel comfortable right off the bat. Thank you!

  • The experience with the doctor and staff was very good. I felt very good and they were very efficient.

  • The facility and provider that my child was previously seeing was an absolute terrible experience and switching here made me realize I should have switched a lot sooner. Everyone here is always nice and makes things easy to understand. And also makes my child feel comfortable and is not afraid of visits.

  • Well, first I need to say in order to improve service, please make sure that the receptionists are not having bad days. This is the second time that I've seen this provider and this is the second time I have been treated very rudely by the receptionist at the desk. It's uncalled for. She maybe this is not the correct job for her.

  • [Name] at the office is always phenomenal. She's so friendly and good with my children.

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
