About Kristen Prescott

Dr. Prescott earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude, in Anthropology from Boston Univeristy. She then attended Tufts University School of Medicine, earning her Doctorate of Medicine degree. Dr. Prescott then completed her pediatric residency at INOVA Fairfax Hospital for Children at the University of Virginia. Her clinical interests include general pediatrics and breastfeeding medicine.

Dr. Prescott’s parents told her that by the age of 5, she was talking about wanting to become a baby doctor, and that dream never changed! She loves seeing her patient’s when they are both well and sick, and she strives to get to know her patients and their families throughout all aspects of their medical care.

She loves the continuity of care involved with pediatrics. Pediatrics allows her to provide exceptional care to a baby after birth, continuing on through adolescence. Dr. Prescott’s philosophy of care is centered around a collaborative relationship between patient, family, and doctor. When not at work, Dr. Prescott enjoys spending time with her family and doing outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and long distance running.

The front desk was very nice, the assitant as well and my husband and I absolutely loved Dr Prescott. Dr. Prescott is always on point with her care. She is always up to date with my children's specialty appointments. The office is always respectful. Dr. Prescott always squeezes my children in when needed. She will always take them last minute. She will always be precise. She will always have a care plan at the end of the appointment. She will discuss what we talked about at the end of the appointment and a list of things to do and just a care plan overall of where we started, how we came in, what we're going to do, how we're going to approach it, and a plan of how we're going to overcome the illness or sickness or my children's complaints. She is 1000% the best pediatrician I have ever had for my children and I would recommend her 10 times over.

Dr. Prescott and the office staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. Our little one was having a tough day and they treated her with care and understanding and for that we are so grateful! Dr. Prescott has a way of knowing the questions we are going to ask before we even ask them and we always leave having a very clear way forward with how to best care for our daughter.

This was my first time meeting with Dr Prescott and i must admit that i am highly impressed. Ive been with this practice for the past 10 years and I've seen many different providers but Dr Prescott is by far my favorite my son felt heard and understood he was calm and relaxed and after our visit his expresión was wow she was amazing and the staff was great. I had already heard great things but now experiencing it is awesome to know my children are in great hands. Dr. Prescott please stay and dont go anywhere you will deff make impacts in children's healthcare.

Our visit with the doctor and the nurse with [Name] and [Name] [Name] was exceptional. Our doctor care was absolutely so thorough and she was considerate, compassionate, and well spoken. She listened to everything we said. She was complimenting. She had a very positive attitude. It was an exceptional experience. The nurse that we were given to provide the vaccinations and the beginning parts of the treatment was by far in the last 18 years the best nurse we have ever had at any facility we have ever been to. Her positive attitude and her willingness to help us was just outstanding.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
