Dr. Johnson is a Cornea, Cataract, LASIK and Refractive surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal disease, laser vision correction surgery, and cataracts.
She received her medical degree from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine, and completed residency in ophthalmology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). She completed a subspecialty fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Johnson has a special interest in corneal surgery and transplantation, laser vision correction such as LASIK and PRK, routine and complex cataract surgery, and advanced technology intraocular lens (IOL) implantation. Her expertise in corneal procedures includes modern endothelial cell transplantation (DSEK), full thickness corneal transplants, and state of the art bladeless LASIK surgery.
Following cataract surgery, she uses both standard IOLs and advanced technology lens implants that can eliminate the need for glasses. She is dedicated to achieving patients’ personal vision correction goals after cataract surgery.
Dr. Johnson is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Massachusetts Medical Society, Massachusetts Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the Fall River Medical Society.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
