Dr. Jon Mazur received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. He then went on to earn a Postgraduate Degree in Physical Therapy from Columbia University in New York City and later received his Medical Degree from the University of Maryland, in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Mazur also received a Master in Public Health from the George Washington University, in Washington, DC.
He has completed residencies in both Internal Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC and was a Senior Resident for Internal Medicine at the Cambridge Hospital in Cambridge, MA.
Dr. Mazur was inspired to become a physician by his father, who overcame deafness, and became a prominent scientist and by his mother, who as a social worker, always showed compassion towards those less fortunate.
His aim is to treat the whole patient, optimize health, functional capacity, and quality of life. He believes in delivering compassionate and comprehensive care towards his patients, based on a bio-psycho social model.
When not working, Dr. Mazur enjoys cycling, hiking, tennis and following sports, especially the Boston Celtics.
