About Jeanne LaRock

Jeanne LaRock, NP earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Biology from the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. She then went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, Massachusetts. 

With a strong in interest in human anatomy and physiology, the challenge that medicine brings inspired her to become a nurse practitioner. Jeanne enjoys approaching care like a puzzle, finding the proper diagnosis and determining the best treatment for each of her patients. 

When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and staying active skiing, running and sailing. She is an active member of the South Coast community and enjoys volunteering at My Brother’s Keeper in Dartmouth. 

Aside from her work at Southcoast Health Jeanne is on the Board of Missions for Humanity, an organization that provides medical care in remote villages of Tanzania, East Africa and in Guimaca, Honduras.

  • I can't say enough about this office and the exceptional care I constantly receive from them. Jeanne saw me promptly when I wasn't well. She was kind, caring and knowledgeable. A plan was put in place and I was feel better by the next day. So very grateful to have such wonderful available providers.

  • I was in for a scheduled physical. I showed up about 10 minutes early and my appointment started over 30 minutes late with the NP. She did apologize, but I was out in my car in less than 10 minutes later. She had not taken the time to look at my chart ahead of time either. Nor had I received pre lab work ahead of my appointment. Not impressed at all.

  • My provider was lovely. She took me in that day right away. And I had a UTI. She gave me what I needed. Everything was lovely and I couldn't ask for better. I would definitely recommend for anyone. Thank you so much. Bye-bye.

  • I was sent for blood work, and the results were on MyChart. I didn't get a call back or prescription from anyone to talk about the results or follow-up treatment, which is unusual for this provider, who is usually great about following up with me.

  • I called to be seen for flu like symptoms, unsure if I would be able to get an appointment. The office staff were amazing and courteous in assisting me in being seen that day. When I arrived everyone was considerate and caring, especially NP Jeanne LaRock. I was feeling my worst and Jeanne had listened to all my concerns. I never feel feel rushed during any of our appointments. It's nice to know that if your primary is not available for last minute appointments, you can always count on being seen as well as receive the best care.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
