  • Staff was professional, friendly & efficient. I was seen on time. The provider cared for my wound, explained what I needed to do for after care & answered all of my questions. I was given paperwork to bring home which included pictures & clear directions to reinforce the information & exercises I was given during my visit.

  • This office is very caring about your injury and how to best help

  • Excellent Dr's My hand is great.

  • This office has always been a pleasure to come to for care. I have been to this office and seen three different providers. All of the providers are equally exceptional. They listen to you they ask you questions and they discuss your care with you as a patient. I highly recommend this office.

  • No wait time very clear instructions a quick visit and very pleasant

  • I was impressed with the efficiency of the service.

  • From start to finish, all the staff were great.

  • I called with elbow pain on Thursday and had an appointment the very next day. I arrived early and was taken in and seen quickly. Doug Garland was fantastic. He seemed genuinely interested in me and solving my pain. I REALLY appreciated that he actually felt my elbow to find where the pain actually was, made me press against his hand to check for strength, etc. All too often I have found health providers only talk. Doug was hands on. BRAVO!!

  • Great staff.

  • No complaints whatsoever. Staff was patient and very courteous

  • Listening and accommodating

  • Everyone was very professional, efficient and nice.

  • Very polite and professional

  • The Dr. was excellent!! I had fallen the other night, and he recommended leaving the stitches in my hand, in a little longer, so they wouldn't open up!! I felt like he was very concerned for me, and I feel he definitely made the right decision. He was great!!

  • He was professional and aware of why I was there. My only complaints is that the woman who gave me my wrist brace did not seem to know how it was supposed to be put on. Although I was given verbal instructions I was not given the check out paperwork with printed instructions that I am used to getting and would have been helpful to have until my next follow-up.

  • Very prompt in seeing me and was very thorough.

  • Follow up assessment - explained plan and follow up. Pleasant, friendly and never felt rushed

  • Professional staff

  • Timely pleasant

  • My visit was great. I felt like I was listened to and treated very well. All the staff were very polite and professional. My PA was amazing he made me feel comfortable and was patient with me. (I was nervous getting stitches out for first time) I will recommend this office

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
