About Bruce Brown
Dr. Bruce Brown earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry from New York University. He then went on to further his medical expertise, earning his Doctor of Medicine degree with honors in medicine from the State University of New York Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn, Down Medical School, where he also completed his internship in Internal Medicine. Following the completion of his internship, Dr. Brown went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at the State University of New York, Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. He then become Chief Medical Resident at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Beach, NJ. Dr. Brown completed his Cardiology fellowship at the Likoff Cardiovascular Institute Hahnemann University Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. During his fellowship he was awarded the Excellence in Clinical Teaching award.
Dr. Brown is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. His clinical interests lie within non-invasive diagnostics, general cardiology, cardiac rhythm management, congestive heart failure, preventative cardiology and cardiac wellness. Dr. Brown’s personal philosophy of care is centered around engaging the patient as a person, and not just as a case or disease. He truly feels that you cannot properly care for a person unless you care about that person. Pairing good intentions with technical excellence can lead to the best possible outcome.
When not at work, Dr. Brown enjoys bicycling, gardening, and playing classical music on the piano.
