Benjamin Zorach, MD, is a Structural and Interventional Cardiologist. He specializes in catheter-based treatments for heart valve and blood vessel disorders, utilizing less invasive, non-surgical techniques to address both acquired and congenital conditions.
His clinical interests specifically include structural heart disease interventions (including TAVR, transcatheter mitral valve repair and replacement, paravalvular leak closure, and PFO/ASD closure). He also has a strong interest in the management of coronary artery disease (including coronary artery stenting, high-risk complex coronary interventions, and CTO procedures).
Dr. Zorach joined Southcoast Health after completing his interventional and structural cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine, completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Virginia Health System, and went on to complete his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he served as a chief fellow and was recognized with awards for clinical excellence.
Dr. Zorach’s philosophy of care is to work hard to diagnose and manage his patients’ conditions while understanding their personal values, priorities, and goals. He never forgets that a patient is also a family member, and strives to provide the same level of attention that he would want for his own family. He aspires to have the best possible outcome for all of his patients.
In his spare time, Dr. Zorach likes to hike, ski, read, play chess, cook different types of cuisines, and follow sports. He particularly enjoys spending time with his wife and family, including his dog and cat.
