About Abigail Correira

Abigail Correira started her medical education receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Endicott College in Beverly, MA. From there she furthered her medical expertise, completing her Master of Science in Nursing at Simmons University in Boston.

Abigail’s personal philosophy of care centers around treating every patient with the same commitment and dedication that she would invest to a loved one. She was inspired to become a nurse by her grandmother, who was a role model to her growing up. Abigail practices medicine with honesty, integrity, and respect.

When not at work, Abigail enjoys reading, soaking up the sun, and playing with her two dogs.

Abigail is an outstanding clinician - she listens carefully she is current on treatment and Knew exactly which tests to pursue to identify medical concerns or rule out diagnosis. She spoke with me, not AT me, she spoke of researching my history of high lipoprot A as a possible cause. Highly recommend this NP provider and truly wish the SC ambul health structure employed more RNs as Nurses are skilled with intake and assessment. MDs often too rushed and MA s are not clinicians. Big gap

I saw Dr. Abby Correia. This was a first visit. She was great! She listened well, communicated well, and made me feel comfortable. Her plan for addressing my health needs was sensible and practical. I wish only that the office were a bit closer to my home, but there are almost no endocrinologists in my area who are taking new patients. However, I like her and am willing to travel to see her.

Abigail took the time to explain what she does and how it affects me as a patient. She didn't rush… she listened to everything I had to say which is very important to me. The next day I went for blood work and as soon as the results started to come in she was right on it . Letting me know the results and what I needed to do. I appreciate her work ethic and time efficiency. I would recommend her to anyone that needed a person in the endocrinology department.

Dr Abby's bedside manner & knowledge is impeccable. She was clear & helped me understand a confusing diagnosis. I feel absolutely confident in her. I appreciate the care I was given yesterday. Fast, efficient, polite, kind & she has a knowledgeable plan. My situation is strange to be stage 3 to normal kidney function. It's a miracle that I'm relieved I have Dr Abby oversee with me to optimize my kidney health. I wish Dr Abby could handle all of my health care for me. She's wonderful. Please give her a large commendation for this care because she deserves it and not everyone who's pleased will take the time to commend her. I need to complain about another situation at another doctor that I haven't gotten a survey or had missed but I need to do that if you contact me

Checking in the staff seemed distracted and were chatting amping themselves. I felt like I was interrupting their conversation. It seemed unwelcoming. The NP that I met with was lovely. Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
