The Annual New Bedford Half Marathon takes place Sunday, March 19, and the race will affect Streets surrounding St. Luke’s during the hours of 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to accommodate the race.

The New Bedford Police Department has recommended two alternate routes for patients and visitors:

• From the East: Take Rt. 195 East to the Penniman Street exit, turn right on County Street, turn right on Parker Street, turn left on Cottage Street, turn right on Hawthorn Street, and turn left on Page Street.
• From the West: Take Rt. 195 West to the Downtown exit, head south on Rt. 18, turn right onto Rt. 6 to Mill Street, turn left on Cottage Street, turn right on Hawthorn Street, and turn left on Page Street.

If at all possible, patients should time their visit for either before the road closure or following it.
