FALL RIVER, Mass. – Southcoast Health today announced that Erik Domingues, MD, board-certified dermatologist, has joined Southcoast Physicians Group, and will see patients at 1030 President Ave., Fall River.

Prior to coming to Southcoast, Dr. Domingues completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Healthcare in Worcester. Dr. Domingues earned his medical degree at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and did his residency in preliminary internal medicine at St. Vincent Hospital-Worcester Medical Center. His research experience includes working since 2011 on “The Integrated Skin Examination: An educational intervention developed to enhance the ability and willingness of medical students to examine the skin for melanoma.”

Dr. Domingues is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology’s Camp Discovery Committee, Medical Dermatology Society, Women’s Dermatologic Society, Council for Nail Disorders, Society for Pediatric Dermatology, Quinsigamond Dermatological Society, American College of Physicians, Massachusetts Medical Society, and National Rural Health Association.

Dr. Domingues is a long-time volunteer for such efforts as skin cancer screenings and working at Camp Horizon, a camp for children with chronic skin conditions. He speaks Portuguese, and his interests include spending time with his wife and family, the history and literature of Portugal, travel, soccer, and basketball.
