About Alicia Medeiros
Alicia Medeiros earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She holds certificates in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and is a certified resiliency trainer through the United States Army. Alicia began her career in healthcare working as a registered nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford and Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River.
Her clinical Interests include geriatrics, hospice, intensive care, cardiac, neurology, nephrology and urology. She has a fundamental knowledge of the Portuguese language.
Alicia enjoys reading, spending time with her pets, being active outdoors and especially enjoys swimming at the beach in the summertime.
Alicia’s philosophy: “I have always loved the Southcoast philosophy of “More Than Medicine.” As a practicing nurse for the last 8 years, I’ve known for a long time that sometimes a warm blanket, a cup of tea, and a hand to hold is worth more than any medication I can prescribe.”
