About Albert Fox

Dr. Fox is a graduate of Yale University and the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine. He completed his residency in otolaryngology at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He then completed a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Missouri.

Dr. Fox has a strong interest in treatment of head and neck skin cancer, reconstruction of facial defects, and facial trauma. He also has a strong interest in the treatment of sinus disease and general otolaryngology problems.

Dr. Fox volunteers his services with Face to Face, a non-profit, humanitarian organization that provides care to those who suffer from facial deformities caused by birth or trauma. Dr. Fox has travelled to China and Vietnam with Face to Face to provide care for patients and education for physicians.

He is dual board-certified in otolaryngology and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.

  • Didn't think doctor fox understood the importance of this appointment to me , I felt uncomfortable trying to explain my concerns, and feel like my opinion about stuff that concerns me didn't matter

  • Dr. Fox was great, he fully explained everything that I needed to know. My only frustration or negativity is due to not seeing the doctor until 75 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I was told 30 minute delay when I arrived, was brought into the exam room by the nurse/assistant 60 minutes late, and finally saw Dr. Fox after 75 minutes. As I said, he was Dr. Fox was excellent, but I was annoyed that I had to wait so long to see him. We are all busy!

He also gave me the option to try a less drastic treatment to see if it would give me enough relief to forego the operation. I am going to try that option, and we will discuss the results at my next appointment.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
