About Deepthi Deconda

Dr. Deconda earned her medical degree from the Deccan College of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad, India. She completed an internship in categorical internal medicine at New York Medical College and a residency in categorical internal medicine at Yale University, followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital, where she served as a teaching fellow in the division of gastroenterology.

Dr. Deconda is board certified in internal medicine. She is fluent in Telugu and Hindi.

Dr. Dachonda did the best job she could considering the Epic program was down during my visit. It was my first appointment with her and she was very thorough even though she had no access to my medical history and I left with a plan. I was contacted soon the outage was solved after with follow up plans. She was great!

I had an appointment with a different provider in this office but it was not for another six weeks. I was experiencing pain and asked for an earlier appointment. The office called me back as soon as they had a cancelation with a different provider. I was very satisfied with the treatment I received by the staff and the physician that I saw.

Yes, when somebody says they're claustrophobic, that means they don't want an oxygen mask over their face. That had to be told a couple of times to the nurses or the staff before the procedure. And yeah, it should also be in the chart. That means nothing over the face while the patient's awake. Thank you.

Every time I have an appointment I have waited at least 45 to be called into the room. I would suggest that they stop double booking appointments. It's very inconsiderate to the patient.

She scheduled an upper and lower GI and she also said she is getting another set of eyes on my case to make sure she was not missing anything. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Daconda. I came from another provider at Lifespan that was not listening to me. Dr. Daconda did more for me in 15 minutes than the dr at lifespan has in 2 months. So happy with the care I received!

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
