Dr. Blanchard earned her medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Boston Medical Center.

She is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.

Dr. Blanchard cares for patients with all varieties of hematologic and oncologic diseases and has special interests in lung cancer, clinical research and supportive care.

All the people that I encountered except for one I found to be excellent, very warm, very professional, and made me very comfortable at the office. I believe it was [Name] that was like the intake person, was wonderful. The lab girl was fantastic. The doctor was great. The only issue that I thought was worth mentioning was that the person that checked me out and made an appointment for the next time, the last person I encountered, I didn't find was very, didn't really act like in a manner that made me feel comfortable. That was like the only thing. She just wasn't very friendly.

The check-out person I made my follow up appt with was very nice.The Dr. barely asked any questions about my symptoms, didn't explain what iron does in my body or reasons why I might Be deficient. It would have been helpful to mention that the iron infusion is an hour and a half long appointment as I was Shocked to see that when I went On my chart.

The receptionist upon arrival was professional, pleasant and thorough. Dr. Elizabeth Blanchard was exceptional. She was quite thorough in her explanations, questions, concerns since I had a fair amount of concerns. I loved her. She suggested additional bloodwork in a month. I am grateful that this entire team was genuine, professional and reassured me . Thank you. I look forward to my follow up. Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
