Camgal Music School Donates to St. Luke’s Hospital Pediatric Unit
At Camgal Music in New Bedford, music goes beyond an art form. Brian Martins, owner and music teacher, is passionate about inspiring his students to embrace learning and community involvement.
Brian believes that there is a profound relationship between music and the community. When a community supports music, they are nurturing something that brings joy and connection. The support allows musicians to grow, create and share their work.
“I want my students to experience firsthand how they can make a difference,” Brian shared. “At Camgal Music, it’s not just about learning an instrument; it’s about recognizing how we can all help others in our community.”
Recently, he wanted to show his students a meaningful way to give back, and the school began donating a portion of its lesson fees to the pediatric unit at St. Luke’s Hospital through an ongoing donation program.
Brian is proud that his students can see that a portion of each music lesson goes directly to supporting pediatric care at St. Luke’s hospital, and hopes it inspires them to always look for ways to help others.
We are grateful to Camgal Music for their generous support and dedication to our patients and community.
