About Kristen McLoughlin

Kristen McLoughlin, MSN, FNP-BC earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. She furthered her education by completing a Master of Science degree in Nursing and earning the title of Family Nurse Practitioner, also at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Her clinical interests include family practice and women’s health.

Kristen’s personal philosophy of care involves building meaningful relationships with her patients and their families. Her dedication for improving her patients’ quality of life is what allows her to serve the community with compassion as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Kristen brings a caring attitude to the patients of Southcoast Health as well as their families.

In her free time, Kristen enjoys the outdoors- whether she is running, skiing, boating, or going to the beach.

My experience was absolutely the best I have ever received anywhere. The convenience of having mammogram followed up immediately with a visit by my provider is so smart; and very calming for any patient who may feel anxiety awaiting results when those two appointments are scheduled in a typical separated by time fashion. I have ultimate confidence in my practitioners here; (a feeling not felt in all medical facilities). I feel that that no improvements can be made. Appointments are on time, the staff courteous and welcoming, with amazing practitioners that look at both physical and emotional needs of the patients. I have ultimate confidence in them which is so above and beyond what I have experienced elsewhere. What is especially amazing is that my patient experience has been this stellar every single year that I have been a patient.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
