Southcoast Health Welcomes Ten New Providers

Southcoast Health is excited to announce the not-for-profit community health system welcomed ten new providers in July.

These providers will join various specialties including Family Medicine, the Hospitalist Program, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery and the Southcoast Health Visiting Nurse Association (VNA).

Ahmad Alhariri, MD | Hospitalist

Dr. Ahmad Alhariri earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Damascus School of Medicine in Damascus, Syria. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Alhariri is now starting a position as a Hospitalist caring for patients at all three Southcoast Health hospital locations.

Housam Alhariri, MD | Hospitalist

Dr. Housam Alhariri received his Doctor of Medicine from Beirut Arab University in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the American University of Beirut. He later completed a secondary residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital, a Harvard Medical School-affiliated teaching hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Alhariri is now starting a position as a Hospitalist caring for patients at all three Southcoast Health hospital locations.

Dillen Bosgra, MD | Family Medicine

Dr. Dillen Bosgra earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Saba University School of Medicine in The Bottom, Caribbean Netherlands. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at Stamford Hospital in Stamford Connecticut. Dr. Bosgra is now starting a position at Southcoast Health Family Medicine in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.

Walter Dittel, MD | Hospitalist

Dr. Walter Dittel earned his Doctor of Medicine at the Escuela Autónoma de Ciencias Médicas de Centroamérica in Costa Rica. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Dr. Dittel is now starting a position as a Hospitalist caring for patients at all three Southcoast Health hospital locations.

Kayla Gillis, NP | VNA Supportive Hospice Care

Kayla Gillis obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. She has experience in various positions across geriatrics, hospice and palliative care over the last 10 years. She holds current GAPNA and HPNA memberships and is now starting a position with the Southcoast Health Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) in Supportive & Hospice Care. 

Angela Janick, NP | Family Medicine

Angela Janick earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. Angela has been with Southcoast Health since 2016 where she began her career working as a registered nurse in family medicine. She has also previously worked in inpatient care at St. Luke’s Hospital and in outpatient care for Southcoast Health Cardiology. She now joins Southcoast Health Family Medicine in Portsmouth, Rhode Island as a Nurse Practitioner.

Arthur Manoli, MD | Orthopedic Surgery

Dr. Arthur Manoli received his Doctor of Medicine from the New York University Grossman School of Medicine in New York City. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Wayne State University, Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Manoli now joins Southcoast Health Orthopedic Surgery in Swansea, Massachusetts.

Michael Quarella, DO | Hospitalist

Dr. Michael Quarella earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. He completed Brown University’s Family Medicine Residency in Warwick, Rhode Island and Brown University’s Geriatric Fellowship in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Quarella is now starting a position as a Hospitalist caring for patients at all three Southcoast Health hospital locations.

Andreea-Constanta Stan, MD | Hospitalist

Dr. Andreea-Constanta Stan received her Doctor of Medicine from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. She completed her residency in Categorial Internal Medicine at the Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital in New Rochelle, New York. Dr. Stan is now starting a position as a Hospitalist caring for patients at all three Southcoast Health hospital locations.

Rita Vieira, NP | Internal Medicine

Rita Vieira obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. She also obtained her Post Graduate Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner, from Simmons College. Rita now joins Southcoast Health Internal Medicine in Fairhaven, transitioning from her position at Southcoast Health Rheumatology. Rita speaks Portuguese.

Southcoast Health is delighted to welcome Dr. Ahmad Alhariri, Dr. Housam Alhariri, Dr. Walter Dittel, Kayla Gillis, Angela Janick, Dr. Arthur Manoli, Dr. Michael Quarella, Dr. Andreea-Constanta Stan and Rita Vieira to our organization.
