About Kimberly Babb

Dr. Babb earned her Bachelor of Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University. She continued on to earn her Master of Arts in Medical Sciences and Doctor of Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine, in Boston, MA.

Dr. Babb believes in presenting patients with up to date medical information so that they can make informed decisions about their health. Her want is to have her patients be well so that they can best enjoy their lives – pursue their interests and spend time with the people they love.

She was inspired to become a doctor by her childhood pediatrician, who was a wonderful person and clinician.

Outside of work, Dr. Babb enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her three daughters. She also enjoys playing sports and traveling.

This was my first time seeing Dr Babb as my new PCP so to be fair, there was a lot for her to go through with my medical history and recent developments. It's difficult to get a real feel for her in 1visit but she did seem to know the basics of my medical history- do it was obvious she didn't walk in without looking at my file. She listened and didn't rush my appointment- and I felt we made decisions together- not being dictated to - Off to a good start. It's very difficult to have to change your PCP as an older adult!

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
