FALL RIVER, NEW BEDFORD, and WAREHAM, Mass. – The Auxiliary of Charlton Memorial Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary, and the Tobey Hospital Guild each announced 2021 scholarship recipients awarded to local students pursuing a career in health care.
In total, 11 scholarships were awarded to local 2021 high school graduates. One Scholarship awarded by the Tobey Hospital Guild is made possible through the kindness and generosity of Mrs. Elizabeth Martone, who created the Leonard P. Martone scholarship in loving memory of her husband. This scholarship is always dedicated to a student pursuing a career in nursing to show appreciation of the Tobey Hospital and ICU nursing staff who provided exceptional care to her husband while he was a patient there.
